About Us

Two men smiling and posing together, one with his arm around the other, standing in front of a decorative balloon arrangement with black, gold, and silver balloons and a large champagne bottle prop. A dog sits in front of them on the wooden floor.

We were set up by a mutual friend in 2011, who was convinced we would make the perfect pair. Our connection was immediate and strong. After many committed years together, Josh proposed to Estan in December of 2015 with a last-minute trip to Colombia for the holidays. Two years later, we had an unforgettable wedding in upstate New York, surrounded by family, friends and nature.

Meet Josh

I’m a born-and-raised New Yorker with two brothers who’s always been curious about people and how things work. That curiosity took me from studying cultures to designing app experiences—and meeting so many interesting people along the way. I can’t wait to give a child that same space to explore, try new things, and figure out what excites them most.

Meet Estan

I grew up in a big, loud Texas family as one of nine kids, so there was never a quiet moment. Music was always around and it became my way of expressing myself. That love for creativity led me to New York, where I now work in video and storytelling. Family, music, and connection are still at the heart of everything I do and I hope to share with a child one day.

Our Home

We live in Brooklyn, New York, in a historic neighborhood with tree-lined streets, multiple playgrounds, and families all around. Most weekends, we head upstate to the mountains to spend time with family and enjoy the outdoors. We also travel during the year to see family in San Antonio, Texas and Miami, Florida.

Our Families

We’re so lucky to come from two families filled with love, laughter, and support. Both sets of our parents have been married for over 40 years—Josh’s from New York and Estan’s from Texas. At our wedding, they broke into song together, “Deep in the Heart of Texas” and “New York, New York,” perfectly capturing how our families just fit.
